There was a marvellous party to mark St George’s day at The Parish and Community Centre on the 23rd April.

Guests enjoyed a traditional afternoon tea with various sandwiches, cakes, and other sweet treats!

There was also a quiz on William Shakespeare to mark the 400th anniversary of his death. Dorothy Allen won first prize. Fr Sketon proposed a toast to St George The Queen and England. It was a good time enjoyed by all who attended! St Mary Magdalene’s would like to offer many thanks to all who helped make the afternoon such an enjoyable event.
